This developer bounty tasks Hackers with creating an essential development tool for Arweave & AO. Imagine, single command CLI to publish to the Permaweb, a user-friendly UX web experience to manage and observe your deliverables, easy to publish CI/CD recipes for Protocol.Land, Github, or any other version management system + the ability to auto-deploy to Arweave. This tool would streamline the development experience of building on Arweave & AO to a whole new level.

Examples of this can be seen in web2 applications like Vercel. Your mission is to build a deployment and management experience tailored for Web3 & Arweave.

More info, as well as technical requirements and suggestions for getting started can be found below.

Please also see our Raid III Github Guide for more technical information on how to get started, including resources and steps on Arweave, AO, and more.

All participants must register on the official Raid III event page in order to be eligible for prizing.

Once you have met the requirements, head to the Raid-Bot and click the "Submit" button. This will take you to our submission form (link provided at a later date) where you will be required to supply a Github link to your project, provide a short demo video (if not available for a live virtual pitch/judging session), and list any teammates.

Raid III Developer Rules:

  1. Everything you submit must be your original work, created during the Weavers Raid III Event (July 24th - August 7th 2024). We will not accept links to previously created projects, even if you are the author of the work.

  1. You may use AI to assist in development.

  2. You may submit only one entry for the Developer Bounty.

  1. You may work in teams of up to 3 Hackers who must all be registered on the Raid III event page.

  1. All Raid III event participants must adhere to our Code of Conduct, by participating in a Weavers event you also agree to abide by our Terms and Conditions.

Getting started using Permaweb-Deploy:

The BazAR team has created a handy tool called the Permaweb Deployment Package. This Node.js tool simplifies the process of deploying JavaScript code to the permaweb using Arweave.

While you're welcome to create your whole project from scratch, using this tool means that you will already have 2 of our required features, the Github integration, and as well as the auto-deployment to Arweave feature, leaving you more time to focus on UI/UX, and additional features.

Please see below, and visit the Permaweb-Deploy Github repo for more information.

Key Features:

  1. Bundling and Deployment:

The tool gathers all your JavaScript files, bundles them together, and sends them to Arweave in one go.

  2. ArNS Update:

Each time you deploy new content, it updates the Arweave Name Service (ArNS) with the latest transaction ID, ensuring the link to your content is always current.

  3. Automated Workflow:

By connecting with GitHub Actions, it keeps your code on Arweave updated automatically whenever changes are made on GitHub.

Tool Installation & Setup:

You can install the tool using "npm", a package manager for JavaScript

To set the tool up, you'll need to encode your Arweave wallet key and set it as a GitHub secret, ensuring it is stored securely.

Ensure you have scripts for building and deploying your application. These scripts tell the tool how to bundle and deploy your code.

Set up a GitHub Actions workflow to automate the deployment process, so every time you push changes to GitHub, they are automatically deployed to Arweave.

Important Notes:

You should use a dedicated wallet for deployments to minimize risk.

The wallet key must be encoded in a specific format to be readable by the tool

ANT Process: Specify the ANT process during runtime to associate your deployment with the correct project on AO.

Please see the Permaweb-Deploy Github repo for more information.

With the emergence of AI, VR, and other technologies, human experiences are increasingly shifting to cyberspace. Web2 platforms do not guarantee user rights and self-sovereignty as these technologies evolve. Arweave and AO, on the other hand, offer permanent, permissionless, and location-independent data storage and computing in cyberspace.

This creative bounty challenges artists to imagine a cyberpunk world that captures the emergence of AI on AO. Create 1-3 BazAR collections with 1-5 assets each, centered around cyberpunk themes in Arweave.

Examples of themes include futuristic cityscapes, cyberpunk-style avatars, concept art, and short videos or animations. Bonus points for immersive experiences and interactive pieces.

This can be as abstract or literal as you want, as long as you meet the basic requirements outlined below.

All participants must register on the official Raid III event page in order to be eligible for prizing.

All submissions must be uploaded to BazAR, the permaweb's first fully decentralized atomic asset exchange.

Once you have met the requirements, upload a link to your collection on X and tag @Weavers_Org and @OurBazAR. Then head to our Submission form (link provided at a later date) for a chance to win!

Collection Requirements:

  1. In order to be considered for prizing you must:

  2. Your collection must include a minimum of 1 assets and a maximum of 5.

  1. Your collection may contain assets of any media type

  1. In order to upload your collection to BazAR, you will require an Arweave Wallet. We suggest using ArConnect!
